Industries & IT Minister K T Rama Rao and Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, who is also president of Exhibition Society, today formally inaugurated the 77th Industrial Exhibition at Nampally in Hyderabad.
Reports said that the exhibition has 2,500 stalls and it will remain open for public for 46 days. Addressing on the occasion, the Minister KTR said, the Nampally Exhibition was popular all over the country and rated the exhibition as a World class one with a World class experience.
The ministers also launched mobile ATM facility at the Exhibition Grounds sponsored by a cooperative bank. KTR said the Nampally Exhibition was popular all over the country. The State government has taken all steps for smooth conduct of the exhibition, he said and appealed to the people, who flocked the expo to opt for cashless transactions.
Since demonetization led the people to go in for cashless transactions, it is time for using swiping machines, debit and credit cards, he said, adding that arrangements have been made for cashless transactions. This year, the industrial exhibition will be conducted for 46 days and the entry fee was also increased to Rs 25 per head from the existing Rs 20.
The industrial exhibition in Telangana capital was launched at a time when demonetization and digital economy was pushing the people towards cashless transactions. It is said the stalls in the exhibition will make ample use of swiping machines and PayTM, debit and credit cards and other modes of cashless transactions. Most of the people from the twin cities and other districts visit the expo to buy a wide variety of products, including clothes for children and women household material, handicrafts and others.
The State government has almost completed the process of 99 years lease to Exhibition society following the assurance of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and it will be handed over the patta to society very soon. The Ministers also launched cooperative bank mobile ATM. The Minister visited entire exhibition while sitting in the mini train. It may be recalled that the exhibition society has brought an App in the name of ‘Get My Parking’ to facilitate visitors to park their vehicles easily. The App was launched to curb the parking loot, which was going on in hours. The visitors can park their vehicle in the vacant place while downloading the App in their mobile phones. The Society has given chance to use the App from January 1 onwards.
