Celebrations at the Thousand Pillar temple come to an end with Yagapoornahuthi on Friday, said chief priest Gangu Upendrasharma. He added that Mahashivaratri was being celebrated at the temple for the last six decades.

“This Shivaratri (Tuesday) holds much significance as the idol of Rudreshwara Swamy was installed at the temple on Tuesday by the Kakatiya rulers,” Upendrasharma said.

Meanwhile, all arrangements have been made for the convenience of devotees at Kaleshwara Muktheeshwara temple, located on the banks of River Godavari, in Mahadevpura mandal in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.
