7,600 2BHK houses to be constructed in Kamareddy

Kamareddy: The Telangana government will construct 7,600 double bedroom houses in Kamareddy district with Rs 416 crores. Of these, 2,113 houses are at various stages of construction, according to Telangana State Housing Corporation chairman M Bhoom Reddy.

Bhoom Reddy on Saturday inspected construction of double bedroom houses at Indiranagar and Lingaipalli of Kamreddy district and later reviewed the progress of the scheme with the executing agencies at the District Collectorate.

He said that Telangana government realised the dreams of the poor people and launched the housing scheme. In all, he said 7,600 houses are being built in Kamareddy, Jukkal, Banswada and Yellareddy Assembly constituencies of Kamareddy district. Various government agencies are supplying sand, cement, steel and other requirements in time to prevent delay in works and ensuring quality of works. Double bedroom houses scheme nodal officer Gangadhar, Panchayat Raj executive engineeer Siddiramulu and other officials took part in the inspection and the review.
