TRS committed to welfare of Vidyuth employees: Kavitha

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi and its affiliated organisations will stand for its members who embraced the party’s pink flag, said Nizamabad MP K Kavitha.

She said TRS affiliated Telangana Rashtra Vidyuth Karmika Sangham (TRVKS) had fought for a separate State and now working for development of the State by playing a vital role in implementation of uninterrupted power supply which would be remembered in the annals of the State history.

Welcoming several employees of Energy Department and power utilities who joined TRVKS at Telangana Bhavan here on Sunday, Kavitha said both TRS and TRVKS were committed to welfare of Vidyuth employees and would strive to get their problems resolved shortly.

“We are aware of their problems and we will take them up one after the other,” she said. She added that the Opposition parties were leaving no stone unturned to obstruct every welfare measure taken up by the State government.

The Nizamabad Lok Sabha member said issues pertaining to employees including better salaries as per Pay Revision Commission 2018, regularisation of 650 senior linemen as per the Supreme Court orders, examination of pay anomalies and others, would be taken up with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy and the officials concerned.

Kavitha also promised people to take up other demands like medical credit cards for TSGenco workers, regularisation of pay scales during merger of about 20,000 workers, housing, and filling of over 1,000 vacant posts in various power utilities.

Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, MLC Srinivas Reddy, TRVKS president Johnson, general secretary Prakash and TRS Vidyarthi State president Gellu Srinivas, also attended the programme.
