Ropeway soon at Kuntala waterfalls

Adilabad: Forest and Environment Minister Jogu Ramanna said a slew of facilities would be created at Kuntala Waterfalls for drawing tourists.

He visited the waterfalls and spent an hour to assess the scope for developing the spot located in Kuntala village in Neradigonda mandal on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters, Ramanna said proposals for providing better facilities would be prepared for the convenience of visitors and sent to the government. He stated that a ropeway would be built at the waterfalls soon.

Adilabad MP Gedem Nagesh said that the Union government was considering a proposal of Tribal Circuit connecting all waterfalls and forts of erstwhile Adilabad at an estimated cost of Rs 104 crore. With the help of the circuit, the backward district would be able to shine on the map of tourism of the State, besides providing jobs to local youths.

Adilabad MP Gedem Nagesh, Boath MLA Rathod Bapu Rao, Central Designing Officer Basawaraju and Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Depart PK Jha were present.
