Kadiam tells officials to set up hot water plant in KGBV

Warangal Rural: The State government has not only initiated steps to provide better the infrastructure at the educational institutions, but also is taking care of health of students. As a part of this, the government is providing health kits to the girl students, said Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari.

Srihari distributed health and hygiene kits to the students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya at Parvathagiri village, which is his native place, in the district on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy CM asked the officials to take steps for setting up the hot water plant in one week at the KGBV as the inmates were unable bear with the chilling weather.

He has also asked the officials to set up a RO water plant to provide safe drinking water to the students.

Stating that no other State in the country has as many as residential schools that are in Telangana, he said, “There are 194 Model Schools, 475 KGBVs and 840 other residential schools (Gurkula schools) in the State where more than eight lakh students are studying in these schools,”

“We are providing Rs 300 worth health and hygiene kits for the girl students,” he added.

Urging the students not be dispirited over their poor family background, he said “I was also born into a poor family at this village. But I could reach to this position as I studied taking constitutional architect B R Ambedkar as an inspiration,” he added.
