Free civils coaching for merit students: Jogu Ramanna

Nalgonda: State government is planning to provide civils coaching for the poor merit students free of cost, said Minister for BC Welfare Jogu Ramanna on Tuesday. He was speaking after inspecting the BC Residential School at Bopparam village of Kethepally mandal in the district. On the occasion, the Minister also interacted with the students.

He inquired about the educational and other facilities being provided in the BC gurukulam. He also inspected the works of the new building of the residential school and also inquired about the status of the works.

“The State government has decided to launch a programme to provide free UPSC (Civils) coaching to the poor merit students. Under the programme, 500 merit students would be selected and provided Civils coaching with facilities free of cost,” the Minister said and added that government would bear all the expenditure. He also informed that another 119 residential schools would be launched in the next academic year in the State.

He pointed out that it was only Telangana State government in the country that has taken up residential schools in a big way to provide quality education to the poor SC, ST, BC and Minority students. English medium in Gurukulams would help the students in pursing higher studies in future. Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham and others were also present.
