Endowments Minister inspects Yadadri temple works

Yadadri-Bhongir: Minister for Endowments A Indrakaran Reddy directed officials of Yadadri Temple Development Authority (YTDA) to speed up works and complete the development of Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple and the hill shrine within stipulated period.

Along with Yadadri-Bhongir Collector Anitha Ramachandran, YTDA Vice-Chairman Kishan Rao and temple Executive Officer Geetha Reddy, Endowments Minister inspected the ongoing development works of the Yadadri-hill shrine. He also enquired about the status of works of main temple.

Later, Indrakaran Reddy held a review meeting with officials and architects, and, discussed about the status of development works. Speaking at the review meeting, the Minister said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was showing special interest in development of Yadadri-hill shine and directed officials to submit report every month on the status of development works.

Stating that slab works of ‘garba gudi’ was completed on January 27, within the stipulated period, he urged officials to complete works of ‘mukha mantapam’ by March. He also directed officials of Engineering Department to complete the construction of dome of main temple by May-end.

Officials said of the 2.7 km long ‘giripradakshina’ route, works for 2.3 km were completed, the Minister instructed them to complete the remaining 700 metres work by the end of February.

“Completion of civil works by the end of summer would facilitate us to develop greenery on the hill shine in monsoon season,” he said.

He asked officials to start works of Vimana gopuram and Hanuman temple by February 5 and complete them by April. He has set the target of February for officials to complete the construction of Arundal temples and slab on Kakateeya pillars.

Kishan Rao said suggestion of expert engineers were being taken to develop the Yadadri-hill shrine. Gold cover of ‘dwajasthamban’ would be the second layer after silver cover, he added.

Geetha Reddy said tenders were already called for works to set up lights and other facilities in the main temple.

Earlier, Endowments Minister participated in special puja at Balalayam on the hill shrine. Government Whip Gongidi Sunitha, temple architects Anand Sai and Madhu, sthapthi Venu and others also attended the review meeting.
