District Collectors told to gather details of BC population

Kamareddy: BC Welfare Department Principle Secretary Burra Venkatesham has asked the district Collectors to gather details of the population of Backward Classes in their respective districts, as in the coming few days, the State government would allocate funds for the Backward Classes (BC) welfare schemes.

The Principle Secretary conducted video conference with various district collectors on this issue on Friday to conduct population survey of various BC castes such as Chakali, Nayi Brahmin, Vishwakarma and other castes as the part of survey of Gram panchayati wise population details and their social statues.

He said that the government would allocate funds and issue subsidised loans to Nayi Brahmin, washermen, MBC and Vishwabrahmin federations.

Venkatesham said that district Collectors should select a date to give publicity of various government schemes to unemployed youth. He ordered officials that BC Welfare officials should issue Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadhi Mubaarak cheques to the beneficiaries before marriage and candidates for overseas education loans have to apply for loans before January 30.

He also asked them to allocate lands to the all BC Welfare hostels and schools, conduct BC melas before February 15 in all districts.

Kamareddy district Collector Dr Satyanarayana, District BC Welfare Officer Devidas and lead bank manager were present.
