Telangana: One held for cheating unemployed youth in Gadwal

Gadwal: An individual, who cheated unemployed youth by promising them government jobs and collected huge sum of money in return, was arrested and sent to remand.

The accused was identified as Ateekur Rehman, a resident of Gadwal and a co-owner of Star Institute of Healthcare Skills Consultancy.

According to police, Srikanth, Arun Kumar, Neelaveni, Nirmala and Md Feroze, all residents of Utkoor village of Mahabubnagar district approached Rehman seeking government jobs.

Rehman collected amount ranging from Rs 30,000 to Rs 60,000 from the victims, assuring them placements.

The unemployed youth kept following-up with him about the jobs they were promised, but Rehman kept postponing it. Having realised that they were taken for a ride, the youth complained to Gadwal Town police, who arrested Rehman on Friday.

Two other Directors of the fake institute – Haneesha Fathima from Karimnagar and another from Mahabubnagar are absconding.
