Rise in food adulteration cases in Sangareddy

Sangareddy: As many as 44 food adulteration cases were reported in Sangareddy district during the year 2017.

Disclosing the statistics of various crimes reported during the year to media here on Friday, Superintendent of Police S Chandrashekar Reddy said food adulteration cases had recorded a steep increase compared to previous years.

During the year 2015 and 2016, the district had recorded zero food adulteration cases. However, almost all other crime heads recorded a decline in district. Cases of death in accidents declined from 454 in 2016 to to 358 this year, and, murder, rape, and theft cases have also decreased.
