No naxal activities reported in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: No Naxal movements were reported in Nalgonda district in 2017, thanks to the district police, who succeeded in scuttling their efforts in recruiting the gullible youth into their movement.

Nakrekal police arrested three youth belonging to Vootkur village of Shaligowrarm mandal in the district for trying to join the banned outfit CPI (Maoist) two months ago.

In the investigation, the police also succeeded in identifying the Naxal sympathisers, who were playing a key role in luring rural youth. Nalgonda Town-I police arrested two persons, who were supplying weapons to banned CPI (Maoist), and seized two pistols from their possession.
