Kumram Bheem Asifabad cops organise health camp for tribals

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: District police authorities organised a mega medical camp for aboriginal tribals of Sirpur (U), Lingapur and Janoor mandals, on the premises of Sirpur (U) mandal police station on Saturday.

About 3,000 tribals availed different medical services and then dined at the end of the event. Elderly persons were also given blankets in view of freezing temperatures.

Superintendent of Police Kalmeshwar Shingenawar assured the tribals of addressing pending problems and challenges of rural parts if brought to the notice of police officials.

He said police were committed to develop villages. He urged them to cooperate with police to protect law and order. He thanked doctors, lab technicians, pharmacists and staff of medical department for coming forward to participate in the event.

Kalmeshwar made a special gesture by talking to tribals in Gondi language. He interacted with the participants and enquired about their problems. Earlier, the IPS officer was accorded tumultuous reception by adivasis. He was taken to the venue of the camp amidst traditional songs and dances performed by tribals.

Rachakonda Armed Reserved Battalion Commandant Ramana Reddy, Kumram Bheem Asifabad ASP Godru, ITDA-Utnoor Medical and Health Officer Kumram Balu, doctors Venkatesh, Sridhar, Vijay, Aruna, and Himabindu, Inspectors Sudhakar and Nagender, sub-inspectors Shivakumar, Rama Rao and Srinivas were present.
