KCR starts 3-day inspection of Kaleshwaram project progress

Hyderabad/Karimnagar: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao kickstarted his three-day field visit to irrigation projects under Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme which is vital for development of north Telangana region. On Wednesday evening, he reached Karimnagar to review progress of various projects under KLIS in the districts of Karimnagar, Peddapalli and Jayashankar-Bhupalpally.

Officials made elaborate arrangements for the Chief Minister who arrived at Telangana Bhavan in Teegalaguttapally on the outskirts of Karimnagar. He is learnt to have inquired about progress of various irrigation projects and also local issues with local elected representatives and officials concerned.

As part of the field visit, the Chief Minister will visit Tupakulagudem and Medigadda barrage and Kannepalli pumphouse works in Jayashankar-Bhupalapalli district. He also examine Annaram barrage and pump house works at Siripuram. After lunch, he will visit Sundilla and Goliwada barrage works in Peddapalli district. He will stay at NTPC Guest House in Ramagudam on Thursday night.

On Friday morning, Chandrashekhar Rao will head for Ramadugu and will inspect progress of Medaram Package V and VI Pump House works, and also Package VIII pump house and gravity canal works at Laxmipur. Later, he will conduct a review meeting with irrigation officials at Laxmipur followed by an aerial survey of Mid Manair before returning to Hyderabad in the evening.
