Kamareddy achieves 72% target for sheep distribution

Kamareddy: Kamareddy district achieved 72 percent target in subsidised sheep distribution scheme and district collector ordered officials to reach the remaining target before 15th January.

Out of the 8,536 units till now 6,146 sheep units are distributed at Kamareddy district and it is 72 percent of total sheep units, remaining 2,390 units should be distributed within one month, said Kamareddy district collector Dr. Satyanarayana.

Animal Husbandry officials on Saturday conducted review meeting with beneficiaries at district collectorate. Collector Dr. Satyanarayana attended as chief guest and urged the shepherd community to utilise this sheep distribution scheme and obtain benefits.

Collector ordered officials to make public representatives part of the distribution scheme and achieve target by distributing remaining 2,390 sheep units. Dr. Ramesh, Joint Director of Animal Husbandry, Devender, technical director, shepherds federation district president Markanti Bhoomanna and federation directors participated in the awareness program.
