Jayashankar Bhupalpally to host bird watching fest on Dec 9

Jayashankar Bhupalpally: The district forest department is going to conduct ‘bird watching festival December 9 and ’10k forest run’ on December 10 in the Eturunagaram Wildlife sanctuary in the district.

Located about 100 km from Warangal city, the Eturnagaram wildlife sanctuary is one of the oldest sanctuaries of Telangana, which attracts many visitors and bird enthusiasts from Singapore University, Bengal, Bihar, Delhi and organizations like Hyderabad Birding pals, Andhra Pradesh Bird Watching Society.

“We are going to take the enthusiasts to different birding sites like Jinnela Cheruvu, Gangaram, Black Berry Island and other sites. And  there will be a seminar on bird watching at Tadvai forest huts’ museum on bird watching at 11 am,” Suman said.

“Meanwhile, those to participate in the 10 km forest run (marathon) are instructed to reach Pasra Forest Complex by 9 a.m. Every participant will be given participation certificate and winners will get the achievement certificates and medals,” Suman explained.
