Govt to consider officials attending World Telugu Conference on duty

Siddipet: Telangana government has decided to consider all the government officials, teachers and officials working with other different wings of administration attending the World Telugu Conference (WTC) on inaugural day on Friday and valedictory function on December 19 as on duty.

Irrigation Minister, T Harish Rao said that they have taken the decision to consider the government employees on duty with a motive to encourage the participation of government employees in the conference in large numbers

Addressing a review meeting on the conference at Siddipet Collectorate here with representatives of various writers organisations, literary enthusiasts and officials, the Minister said they will provide transportation facility from Siddipet, Sangareddy and Medak districts to facilitate them to attend the Telugu fete.

Stating that they have arranged 30 buses, the Minister has called upon them to attend the inaugural  and valedictory ceremony without a miss. Collector, P Venkatrami Reddy, Joint Collector, M Padmakar, and others participated in the meeting.
