Efforts on to ensure uniformity in response to complaints says DGP

Karimnagar: Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy said efforts would be made to ensure that there would be unformity in police response to any complaint in whichever police station it is filed in the State.

In this regard, plans had been prepared and it would be implemented in all stations once the process was completed, he said while interacting with media persons after his visit to Karimnagar on Friday.

The DGP inaugurated a model police station building of three town police and conducted review meeting with police officials at Police Parade Grounds. He said steps had been taken to create consistency and reliability among the forces. He asked policemen to try and win hearts of people by responding to their problems in a humanitarian way.

To get a firsthand information about the local problems in police commissionerates as well as districts by meeting officers directly and preparing plans to address those problems, he has been touring all districts.

While developing competitiveness among police, plans have also been prepared to put an end to crime and detect cases. Police Department in coordination with other government departments would try to solve the problems of the people.

DGP appreciated the efforts of Karimangar Commissionerate Police in putting an end to illegal activities at tourist sports such as Lower Manair Dam and others places.

When asked about shortage of staff in Police Commissionerates, he said recruitment of staff would be done in a phased manner. Policemen, who strive to preventi crime and detect cases, would be honoured with rewards.

IGP, North Zone, Y Nagireddy, Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed, Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy and others officers participated in the review.
