CPI(M)’s Raghavulu slams Centre for delaying winter session

Sangareddy: CPI(M) politburo member BV Raghavulu accused the Union government of delaying the winter session of Parliament in view of Assembly elections in Gujarat.

Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday, the veteran Communist leader opined that the saffron party is facing strong anti-incumbency wave in Gujarat.

Expecting the Parliament session would further harm their prospects in the State since the Opposition parties would highlight the failures of government, Raghavulu said that Narendra Modi led government had delayed the session.

However, the Politburo member observed that the saffron party will not win the election because it had failed on all fronts.

The senior CPM leader was here to inaugurate the first Sangareddy district level meetings of CPI(M) on Saturday. Stating that the attacks on Dalits have increased since BJP came into power at the Centre, Raghavulu has said that there was a serious need for all the like-minded parties come together to fight against them.

Welcoming the Telangana Rastra Samithi government’s decision to set up a BC Sub-pan, the Politburo member said that the K Chandrashekar Rao’s led government must conduct an all party meeting before earmarking the budget for BCs under Sub-plan to take the views of all the sections.
