CM KCR to lay foundation for Golla and Kurma bhavans

Hyderabad: Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy development Corporation T Srinivas Yadav said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will lay the foundation stone for the construction of Golla and Kurma welfare bhavans on December 29 at Budwel in Rangareddy district.

Speaking to mediapersons on Thursday, Yadav said the State government had allocated five acres of land to each community for the construction of the buildings. “The government also released Rs 5 crore to each building for the construction,” the Minister said.

Mentioning about the welfare programmes initiated by the State government for the betterment of Golla and Kurma communities, he said 30 lakh sheep were distributed within four months and targeted to distributed 1.50 crore sheep in due course. He also thanked Chief Minister for giving MP and MLC seats for the community members. The Minister said a special committee was also formed to oversee the foundation ceremony.

Public meeting

To thank Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, a massive public meeting with 10 lakh community members was also planned on March 25 at Parade Grounds, said T Srinivas Yadav. He asked community members to make the event more successful by supporting the State government for doing more programmes for the benefit of the community.

Mentioning about BC sub-plan report, he said soon the government would announce the report with many schemes for the poor.
