92% Land Purification completed in Telangana

Hyderabad: About 92 per cent of Land Purification and updation process was completed in the State and rest of eight per cent will be completed in a couple of days, said Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali here on Friday.

Speaking to mediapersons at secretariat, he said after 1934, a holistic land survey was conducted in the State under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. “After having serious discussions with the revenue experts Chief Minister has started land revenue survey which is yielding positive results and farmers are also expressing happiness over the drive,” Ali said.

He said out of total 10,806 villages the drive was completed in 10,443 villages and computerization work is under way and revenue teams are still doing work in remaining 363 villages which will be completed soon. Deputy Chief Minister said farmers are feeling very happy as there long pending revenue issues such as mutation, correction of names, transfer of property from family members and clubbing of two khata numbers are resolved at their door steps without spending a rupee.

Mentioning about the e-Passbooks he said on January 26 Chief Minister will officially launch the programme and it will be given to all the farmers in staged manner. Ali said the new passbooks will have high security features and there would be no scope for tampering the records. He said after completion of purification drive sale deed documents would be sent through registered post within 72 hours.

He said after cleansing the revenue records, there is further more scope for setting up industries in the State as industrialist can get litigation free land. “After completion of purification drive in rural areas similar drive will be conducted in urban areas,” Ali said. Principal Secretary for Revenue BR Meena also participated in the meeting.
