Warring groups in Adilabad must show patience, says Former Minister

Adilabad: Former Minister and veteran Lambada leader Amar Singh Tilavat opined that two groups (Adivasis and Lambadas) must display patience and not to indulge in protests.

He called on Superintendent of Police M Srinivas to discuss the ongoing differences between Adivasis and Lambadas, here on Friday.

Amar Singh hoped that the feud would come to an end soon and a solution would be found at the earliest. He sought members of the two groups to show patience and make consultations for resolving their differences instead of staging dharnas and counter protests.

Srinivas said the government was ready to provide a solution to the issue. He informed that reports over recent incidents were submitted to the State government. He asserted that Collectors were also alerted and were observing the protests. He added that Section 144 of CrPC would be in force in Utnoor police sub-division till November 30 and stated that action would be taken against those who violate the restrictions.

The SP urged two groups to extend support to cops in protecting law and order and not to indulge in violent acts. He claimed that cops were showing a great patience in tackling the protests. He stated that a meeting was held with leaders of Adivasis in Neradigonda police station on Thursday for discussing ways to solve issues in a peaceful manner.
