Telangana: Siddipet to become an industrial hub soon

Siddipet: Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said that providing jobs to unemployed would be top priority of Telangana government. 

Addressing the youth after inaugurating a mega job mela organised by Employment Office at Girls High School, Siddipet on Sunday, Narasimha Reddy said that over 2,500 new industries were set up in Telangana creating employment to over 50,000 people since formation of the State. With the TS-iPASS, the Home Minister said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had created a hassle-free system to grant permissions to industries. 

Stating that more industries will set up their base in Telangana during the next couple of years, Reddy said that they were confident of providing employment for another 50,000 in private sector besides creating employment to thousands indirectly.

Irrigation Minister Harish Rao said that they would fulfill the promise made by the Chief Minister on providing employment to over one lakh people during their five-year tenure.

Stating that they had already recruited over 25,000 in government sector, the Irrigation Minister said that they were preparing to issue multiple notifications to take the total recruitment to 1.12 lakh during the next year. Stating that Siddipet will become an industrial hub soon, Rao said that the State government was planning to build an IT park at new Collectorate in Siddipet.

Besides this, the Minister said that they were in talks with industrialists to set up a granite park at Bejjanki and mobile manufacturing industry at Duddeda. 

Promising to providing best employment opportunities to citizens of Siddipet district, Rao said that those who had completed ITI would get better opportunities. He further said that they were also planning to set up a seed park at Mulug.

Stating that he would ensure completion of railway connectivity to Siddipet district within a year, the Irrigation Minister said that Siddipet would have best road connectivity since work on many highways connecting Siddipet was under way. As many as 26 industries attended the mega job mela on Sunday to recruit the aspirants. While there were about 2,500 vacancies, as many as 3,500 aspirants arrived at the job mela venue. The process of recruitment is under way. 

Deputy Speaker M Padma Devendar Reddy; Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, MP, Medak; Shashank Goel, Principal Secretary, Labour, Employment, Training and Factories; KV Nayak, Director of Employment; Collector P Venkatrami Reddy, among others were present.
