Telangana most favoured destination for entrepreneurs: KCR

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Tuesday said Telangana State was the most favoured destination for entrepreneurs not only from the country but also from abroad.

The Chief Minister, in his welcome address at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre at Madhapur in the city’s IT corridor, said Hyderabad was recognised all over the world for its legendary hospitality and its emergence as a vibrant destination for entrepreneurship. “I am sure you will see for yourself the hospitality that Hyderabad is known for during your stay in the city,” he said.

Stating that the new industrial policy – TS-iPass – had worked admirably well, CM K Chandrashekhar Rao said so far 5,469 industrial units had been given approval attracting investment of US Dollar 17.5 billion. “The State has topped in the Ease of Doing Business index. All these achievements have been facilitated because entrepreneurs are no longer required to run from pillar to post to get approvals,” he said, adding that Hyderabad is home to the big five from the US – Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google and Facebook.

The T-Hub, the largest start-up incubator in the country, promotes a vibrant eco-system to nourish young brilliant minds, he said, adding that the GES was a special platform to showcase the State’s opportunities and achievements. “I hope you will enjoy the legendary hospitality that the city has to offer, and of course, relish Hyderabad’s signature dish, the Hyderabadi biryani,” the Chief Minister said, in his brief welcome address.
