Telangana: Mentally disturbed man sparks panic in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: A mentally disturbed person barged into the premises of Andhra Bank of Mukundapuram in Nidamanoor mandal here on Tuesday and attacked the staff.

The bank clerk Nagarjuna and sweeper Akbar received minor injuries when the attacker threw a chain at them. The attacker barged into the bank and picked up an argument with the bank staff saying that loan should be provided to him immediately. He also damaged furniture at the bank.

However, people at the bank later managed to catch the man and handed him over to the police.

Later, police took him into custody and identified him as Kethavak Krishna Naik, a resident of Meejya thanda of Tirumalagiri (sagar) mandal. The police also suspect that he is an accused in several cases of theft, and had committed similar offences at three banks under Haliya Police Station limits.

Based on a complaint by the bank officials, Nidamanoor police have filed cases against Naik.
