Man held in Mancherial for stealing mobile phones

Mancherial: Government railway police arrested a person for allegedly indulging in mobile phone theft from passengers of railway services and recovered seven mobile phones from him in Mancherial on Wednesday.

Railway police sub-inspector K Jithender Reddy said that the accused was Salman Raj, a native of Jafarnagar of the town. Salman Raj was apprehended when he was moving suspiciously in railway station of Mancherial on Tuesday night.

On being interrogated, Salman Raj confessed to have theft seven mobile phones from passengers when they were asleep. He admitted that he stole them for meeting expenses of his lavish lifestyle. He was produced before a court of Railways in Kazipet and was sent to a judicial remand.
