Karimnagar fake currency gang burns notes with face value of Rs 10L

Karimnagar: A man, said to be the member of a counterfeit currency gang, burned currency notes with a face value of over Rs.10 lakh after a clash among the group members in Karimnagar. A video, purportedly shot by another member of the gang, was recovered by the police.  
 
The incident came to light with the arrest of the gang by Jammikunta police on Wednesday. The Task Force and the Jammikunta police were conducting a routine vehicle checking at Kothapalli of Jammikunta mandal when they came across five persons carrying fake notes in a car. The notes, which had a face value of Rs 6.58 lakh and all in Rs.2,000 denomination, were seized from them. 
 
During interrogation, they revealed that one of their members, Chennamaneni Manohar Rao had set fire to notes with a face value of Rs 10 lakh after a dispute in the gang
