Indrakaran Reddy irked over Collectors’ absence for meeting

Adilabad: Endowments and Housing Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy was irritated and expressed dissatisfaction when Collectors of four districts were absent for a Zilla Parishad General Body meeting held in Adilabad on Saturday. Two Members of Parliament, three MLCs and several legislators also did not attend the meeting, raising eyebrows of many.

Indrarakaran Reddy was displeased to find the meeting without presence of IAS officers belonging to residual Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial and Kumram Bheem Asifabad. He regretted who would answer questions of ZPTC members and participants of the meeting, if the Collectors were absent to it.

It is learned that CM K Chandrashekhar Rao spoke to Reddy and Forest and Environment Minister Jogu Ramanna over phone and found out as to why the Collectors were not attending the meeting. However, Collectors of both Adilabad and Nirmal turned up for the meeting, upon learning the displeasure of Ministers. Their counterparts of Mancherial and Kumram Bheem Asifabad skipped it. The reason is yet to be ascertained.

On the other hand, only two legislators Durgam Chinnaiah and Nadipelli Diwakar Rao, ZP Chief Executive Officer K Jithender Reddy and heads of various departments were present. But Adilabad MP G Nagesh, his counterpart of Peddpalli  Balka Suman, MLCs T Swamy Goud, P Sudhakar Reddy, P Satheesh Kumar, MLAs A Rekha Naik, Kova Laxmi, Koneru Konappa, Nallala Odelu, R Bapurao, Vithal Reddy, could not make it to the general body meeting.
